I have a whole bunch of DVDSP chapter markers all set up in an FCP sequence. However, I want to add a little 5 second splash screen at the beginning of the sequence. How do I shift all the chapter markers so that they aren’t all off when I add the splash screen?

Do an INSERT EDIT and they should move down. If you have them set to RIPPLE. And this only works if you have FCP 7.

Now that I’ve solved that, I do have another question. How do I copy a section of video and the chapter markers associated with them?

You don’t. The markers are either on the clip, or on the sequence. They aren’t connected.
