The DP on this project forgot to shoot 24pa and only shot 24p (ok, I admit it, I was the DP) and now in the editing I am having a very hard time getting it into a 24p timeline.

First of all, when I select a clip and chose inverse telecine in final cut, it tells me that “none of the clips selected are 29.97 bla bla,,” when it is, otherwise I wouldn’t be having this problem!

I can open cinema tools by itself and choose a clip from finder, it will get half way through the process and then tell me it has failed.

So then I tried JES deinterlacer, and when ever I add on of the clips, it greys out the inverse telecine options.

*The codec is the rewrapped dvcpro 1080 from a HPX170 P2 system. I am using the rewrapped .mov files, not the original mxf files for all of this*

    Please HELP!

ok, this was my next step, I have had to do this in the past with a similar issue, but I was hoping I could just deal with it as natively as possible.

    Thanks for the link.
