Hello Every Body, i have 2.8 GHz Quad-Cor Intel Xeon 8 GB RAM, working as a Editor and motion graphic designer using Final-cut Pro and Adobe CS5 so i wondered What are the additions which can be added to the machine and System to working with HD and Red cam formats. or this configurations are fine, somebody told me you have to add a new Vedio Card and add 8 GB ram to make ur computer 16 GB RAM, i need help from you to know what is the best and cheep configuration to work with HD and RED cam formats. Thanks for ur Help

YOu need at least 16 or 32GB of RAM…especially when using Adobe products. FCP 7 and under only address 4GB of RAM.
FAST HARD DRIVES. When dealing with high data rate footage, like RED 4K and 5K, you need fast drives to play that back. eSATA at least…if not Fibre, SAS or 10GigE Ethernet.
