  6 Hour SD video (100gb) onto DVD. Any Compressor?

  I’m wondering if there is a compressor setting to use to take a six hour SD movie that is 101gb in order to put it on DVD. I’m tempted to use the Youtube setting but that could very well make it look terrible. I’m not looking for amazing quality because the movie is just a training tool but will be watched on DVD. Any folks out there tried this crazy operation?

  Use a dual layer dvd-r.
  3 hours a side.
  keep lowering the data rate til it fits.
  you still have to make a mpeg2 file.

  Do you mean lower the data rate in IDVD? If so…how?
  And the quicktime video I have now, you are saying, still turn it into an Mpeg2 file in compressor? Where is that option? Thanks for the guidance.

  In compressor, select a dvd preset and cntrl click on it and select duplicate. Then you can select the quality tab and lower the data rate.
