    Hi,

Just looked at frame rates and saw on Ken Stones website that if you are shooting in different frame rates (in my instance, 29fps and 59fps) then the sequence settings should be to edit in 59fps as you should always up convert your frame rate.

Is this true? and if so can i change the Sequence Frame rate up to 59 at all? Or do i have to restart?

    Cheers!

Hard and fast rules are quite entertaining these days.

59.94 is a 720P format and you’ll be fine with 29.97 for everything else. Watch your interlacing dominance. External applications that make assumptions about the framerate of source media with respect to the sequence settings will introduce mismatches in trims and durations.

You cannot change the framerate of a sequence once you have added media to it.

Ok so i should be alright with it? Yea i shot the 59fps in 1280 x 720p and the other footage in 1920 x 1080.

There is no field dominance on any of it as i converted all the footage using mpeg streamclip to use with ProRes 422. I think i (must have!) De-interlaced all the 1080 footage.

    Cheers!
