    Hello,

I am working on a project that contains HD and SD material, I have to include the SD material to an HD project, but the SD material most of it has been shooter with a pro sumer camera and cell phone, which will the best way to make this SD footage look good on a HD project?. Probably upscale the footage?.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Presuming your final is HD, upscaling is the best. You can use Compressor for this or if you have a Kona card it does and excellent real time upscale if you have a means to input the material via SDI.

There are third party plugins in FCP that can upscale as well but I haven’t any direct experience with them. I have heard many peopleon this forum say that After Effects is a brilliant up and down scaler.
