  • How can you get a motion blur when panning with 3d camera?

    Hi there

Basically ive got 2 comps, lined up next to each other and i quickly pan from one to the next, but how can i get it so there is a bit of a blur between the two? whats the best way to do it. ive done a search but couldnt find much….saw something about ramping up the frame rate and then using motion blur….how do i do this?

    its 1 comp….with 2 comps in and a 3d camera.

    thanks in advance!

Did you switch on motion blur for both comp layers, and at the top of the main timeline?

To increase the blur in a composition (this is assuming you have it on already) you need to go to composition settings (cmd+k/ctrl+k) and change the shutter angle. Higher shutter angle = more blur. If you have CS3 then you might also want to increase the number of samples for blurring 3D layers more naturally (with high motion/shutter angles you can sometimes make out the individual samples in the blur).
