  How can I get motion Blur when using card cance?

  Hi Guys,

  Do you know if it’s possible to get
  motion blur with card dance? I rendered
  a scene with motion blur on, but there was no
  blur in the final video. Any ideas?

  Motion Blur only works with layers that are changing position/rotation/scale, or effects that specifically have MB as part of their controls.

  You could precomp the Card Dance layer, then apply CC Force Motion Blur to it. If you’re using the comp camera, you probably need to include that in the precomp.

  Or you could apply CC Force Motion Blur to an adjustment layer over the whole thing, probably.

  Hi Steve,

  Thanks for the response!
  I’m using an original version of AE CS3
  and there is no “CC Force Motion Blur”
  Where can I found it?

  Under the “effects>time” menu?

  (if you hit F5, you can enter the name of the desired effect into the window to find it)

  I’m sorry, but I can’t find
  “CC Force Motion Blur” anywhere.
  I’m attaching an image from my AE CS3 effects
  drop down.

  Ah. Thanks for the screengrab.

  Did you install the Cycore effects from the AE install CD?

  (if you have an educational version, that may not be an option)

  I found out why the effects (cc force motion blur,…)
  weren’t showing up!
  I checked the after effects plug-ins folder
  and I noticed that there is a cyclore folder,
  so what I did was to copy and paste all
  cyclore plug-ins from the subfolder into the parent plug-in folder.
  I restarted After effects and woila! the effects were there!!
  Don’t really understand why it can’t see the plug-ins in
  the subfolders but happy to have found a solution.
