How to comine 16:9 and 4:3 formats to 4:3?
hi
i’m pretty new to FCP and have this question:
i am putting together an animation movie that was shot in two different formats:
– still images shot in 1920×1280
– movie files shot in 1920×1080 25 fps (Full HD)since the still images make up the vast majority of the material, i want to produce a film that cuts as little as possible from this format, while it’s no problem if the film footage undergoes some cutting or blowing up and then cutting respectively.
as end results i need two things:
– DVD with the best quality as possible
– any format that can be uploaded to youtubewhat film format should i use for the final products, and how do i actually put the two formats together?
(right now FCP X 10.0.2 automatically downscales the still images so that they fit the height of the movie files, but of course the still images have a black stripe left and right, while the movie files are wide screen; this is because i have set the movie format to Full HD. i chose this format because the other formats seemed much lower quality than my original material).
thanks for helping out a beginner!
