    Sorry to have to ask… been looking for post answers. I have FCP7 on my laptop, want to install on iMac 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 (mid 2011)… Inserted install disk… “can’t open this app, power pc apps are no longer supported.” Any advice on how to get FCP on to this machine? Thanks…

    That’s curious and sounds to a a System error.
    I would repair Permissions and try again.

    This sounds like an issue with Lion if Lion is indeed installed on the iMac. Look that up, you’ll find that you’ll need to bring studio in with Snow Leopard… A challenge I’ll soon be facing.
