Hi, I have to edit footage that was shot with two different cameras.
when I drag the different files to Compressor I get this:
one bunch of footage is

how should I convert one of the two cameras’ footage to match the other the best possible way?

What will your final export/deliverable be? DVD? Web? Tape? Digital file (what format)? Know that and work backwards. So if you tell me, I can give you a better idea on how to proceed

Convert both formats to ProRes…and have them both be at 1280×720 for this. Use MPEG STREAMCLIP…it’s free. And then edit in a 1280×720 sequence…you should have no rendering.

Make sure that the frame rate of the second camera…that reads as 24…is converted to 23.98.

I use Compressor as I can enable QMASTER to get all the processors on my machine tapped in on this. Well, if I’m on my laptop, I use MPEG STREAMCLIP…
