  Canon 5D workflow for FCP

  Hi,
  I am about to edit a project that was shot on a Canon 5D. My main concerns are the amount of disc space I will use (due to transcoding), and the lack of timecode.
  Does anyone have tips/advice/suggestions? Is there any useful plug-ins available for the Canon 5D post-production workflow?

  Start with Shane Ross’s excellent tutorial

  Log & Transfer when used properly does capture the timestamp from the 5D and convert it to timecode. It also lets you set a reel number.
