So I’m adding a light to a scene that I’ve been working on for a long time. It has lots of 3D layers so when I add the light to the scene it affects all the 3D layers. I only want the light to shine on one layer, so my question is do I have to go in on all hundred of my layers and turn off the switch that lets it accept lights? The “accept lights” switch is buried pretty deep in the menu, so I’m wondering if there is an easier way to have the light only affect one layer?

There may be a faster way but here’s one that works.

    1) Select all the layers that you don’t want to accept lights.

    2) Type AA (the a key twice) to reveal the lighting options.

    3) Set any of the selected layers to not accept lights. This affects all selected layers.
