Can’t upload HD footage anymore.
Hello,
I bought my macbook pro back in August of 2009 and have been working since then with Final Cut Pro 6.0.1 My OS was whatever was stocked on the macbook. I have filming and dumping 1080i HD footage from a Sony HD 1000u into Final Cut.
However, a couple months ago I updated my OS to Snow Leopard, and since then I cannot dump HD footage anymore. When I initiate log and capture, I get an error message saying it can’t communicate with the camera. However, when I change the setting on final cut to look for standard DV footage and I set my camera to down convert footage to SD, Final Cut communicates with the camera and captures without any problem without any problem.
People how been telling me that its because I updated to Snow Leopard and that the only solution to my problem is to update my Final Cut to Final Cut X. But I really do not want to do this, because all I have been hearing about the new Final Cut is nothing but bad things and how its basically just an updated iMovie.
Is there any way I can fix my problem without having to update my Final Cut to final cut x?
Thanks,
Doug
