  Trouble Exporting Movie

  When I export a movie that I’ve edited in FCP, the quality is extremely pixelated. It remains this way no matter how I change the export settings, and is especially true for still images within a movie.

  How can I fix this?

  I am using final cut studio 2, an academic version running on a mac book pro with an intel processor…operating system is OS X 10.5.8

  I also have a Imovie on this same computer, and it has no problem exporting high resolution movies….

  Anyone know whats going on?

  IMO you get better results if you export a quicktime in current settings then convert that to something more suitable with Compressor. Having said that, severe pixellating suggests that it might be something other than your export settings… can you post more info on your source codec(s) and sequence settings?
