Green Screen Walls as Sets
I have been scouring the Creative Cow archives for help on this. I’m trying to do a subjective scene in a story about an eight year old who is told some traumatic news about his older brother. I want him to be inside the living room when he is told this news by his mother. Then I want the sound to fade out, a close up on his face, and then his POV shot revealing that the living room is fake. I.E. set pieces made from cardboard that he pushes over and they fall to the ground revealing a field that he is in.
I thought about doing actual photographed walls of the sets with rasturbate, but it proves to costly and too much time. So I thought of getting large bisqueen (sp?) or plywood sheets and painting them green and compositing the photo of the set on the green wall and motion tracking it as it falls.
Is this feasable? Or would it be easier to do it practically?
Any tips on motion tracking a big green screen square to look just like the pictured wall of the set in the scene?
Thanks.
