  FCP chrashes on Import Material

  Hi,

  a weird problem: I had a bunch of GoPro Footage, which I converted with AE to Apple ProRes.
  Back in FCP (version 6.0.6.), I made a new bin and want to import all the files – every time FCP crashes.
  I tried also to not import all 67 clips at once, but even when selecting 4-5 at once it still does it.
  Any idea why?

  Sometimes, when I just import one file at a time, it works. With two already it crashes.
  I have to import now 67 files one by one?

  What a pain.

  Did you try trashing FCP prefs?

  Tried it. Did not help 🙁
  it is also not really connected to FCP, but to the footage.
  It just does it with this specific GoPro footage, which I converted in AE.

  Can you convert a test clip with MpegStreamclip or Compressor?

  That’s the tricky thing: One would not be enough, since that it does import. I would have to convert several, then try, and then….blablabla.
  I go now for the good old straight forward solution, I import one be one 😉
