  does shure x2u work with fcp

  Hi
  i was wondering if a shure x2u work with fcp’s vo tool.
  That instead of the internal mike you now can use a xlr condenser mike.
  I now use the digidisighn mbox and it works fine with leopard but to let it work with snowleopard
  seems to be a hassle.
  So does the shure x2u work with fcp does it mirror th quality you get from say my mbox?

  Hi Jurriaan,

  the Shure X2u should work just fine with Snow Leopard! In the VO tool’s source drop-down menu just select the “Shure Digital” input and you’re all set.

  As far as quality is concerned I doubt you will hear much of a difference for voiceovers, so you should be fine.

  I’ve got a Lexicon Alpha and a Samson Go Mic and both of those worked straight away without a hitch (FCP7, Snow Leopard), so I’d be surprised if there was a problem with the Shure.
