  Clip degredation/pixelation

  I’m trying to put an HD clip into a very long timeline (about 2 hours long) with the same settings as the clip. The problem I’m having is that there are certain points in the clip that are pixelating very badly – it almost looks like a kind of super low-quality slow motion.

  However, the pixelation is only occurring around fast-moving objects within the frame, and the degradation is only occurring on the FCP timeline (when watching the clip in Quicktime, the degradation does not occur). So, as strange as this sounds, has this ever happened to anybody? Any suggestions? Thanks very much.

  What are those settings and where did the clip come from?

  The clip came from another computer – they were exported in .mov at HDV 1080 60i and brought into a project with the same settings.

  Fortunately, it turned out to be a problem with the sequence or Final Cut itself, because when we exported it the pixelation was completely gone.
