I’m going to edit a project that’s roughly 2 minutes long. I am going to be working with a variety of files including:

    1 1080 prores
    1 1080 H.264
    2 720 prores,
    1 960×540 AIC
    2 SD DV

I also have copies of the files as H.264 in their respective resolutions.

In terms of the actual editing, nothing too crazy; Just a couple transitions and that’s it. The final destination is the web, maintaining the best quality, and possibly SD DVD.

My question is what would be the best workflow? I understand that there’s going to be quite a bit of upconverting and downconverting. Maybe encoding 720p prores versions of everything, editing that, and compressing 720p H.264? What do you guys think?
