  Scanner Recommendations

  I am in the process of purchasing a FCP system. Among the components that I will be buying along with the system will be a film/slide scanner. I would appreciate any advice/recommendations of a scanner that would best work with FCP. The more I read about necessary dpi’s and resolutions, the more opinions I get and the further I get from choosing a scanner. Thanks.

  no scanner “best” works with final cut.

  You will have to scan images into a file (scan them as large as the scanner natively supports)

  then bring them in to photo shop and resize them down near the size of the sequence settings in final cut so they look good on the final product.

  A really nice scanner is the Nikon LS-2000 it also has an optional auto-loader which makes it easy to scan automatically. Model SF-200.
