• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  cannot capture from a sony HVR-M15N deck into final cut.

  hey everybody.
  i have a sony hvr-m15n plugged into my mac pro..
  been trying all the morning to understand why:
  1.dv-anamorphic material.
  2. 25i FRAMES PER SECOND
  cannot be captured into final cut…?
  the deck is been recognized by final cut and i can even control it from final cut.
  and so i HIT the play…i can see the timecode running but with no picture or sound.
  when i HIT the capture now..final cut tells me that it’s looking for timecode and 3 seconds later it tell me:
  “the operation cannot be completed as there is no video”
  very disappointing…as i have a bout 30 mini dv reels to go through this weekend.
  does any one have an idea what is wrong with this procedure?
  can work with a different capturing software…as long as it free..and good.
