  chroma key question.

  hi all.

  i’ve got some footage shoot on green screen, the problems is that it’s got a lot of spill or green reflected in the skin and when i pull the key using keylight it takes all the green in the skin and it looks very grainy.

  is there any way to reduce the grenn in the skin without affecting the green in the chroma, like any color balancing, or any control inside keylight.

  I’d suggest sitting down with the keylight PDF manual. There are controls such as alpha/despill bias, screen balance, foreground color correction, edge color correction and other tweaks that can be used to improve the quality of your key.
  Also there are a couple of tutorials at the COW that can give you some tips on improving a key. The Super Tight Junk Mattes tutorial is especially useful when dealing with greenscreens that were not lit properly.
