    Hi

I’m using sony a1-e, its a small camera, it records to hdv but i use dv to record. Finally it record hdv to dv. When i captured it with a deck, i can see there are lots of grains even day light and night. Also video is too much interlaced. I can capture it just one settings in easy setup and its 1080i. Any suggestions? I’m usually documanting, its easy to use and easy to carry considering im shoting documantaries.

It cannot record HDV to DV, it can ether record HDV OR DV.

Then you did not record in DV, you recorded in HDV.

I would actually recommend recording in HDV. Why you ask. Why not have a higher quality original recording. Your camera should be able to down convert on playback to DV.

Why you would want to shoot and edit standard definition I do not understand. EVERYTHING is HD these days. If you shoot and edit in HD you can always down convert it later to SD if needed, PLUS you also have a HD version.

Not sure why your subject line says what it does, the question has NOTHING to do with your subject line.
