Working wth slow motion – 60p in a 24p project
Hi,
Sorry if this question has already been answered. I had a look and coulndt find a similar post, but I could have missed it…
I’m editing a music video shot on a 7D in FCP 7. My project has been set up as a 24p project, to match the majority of my footage, however I shot some of it at 60p to use as slow motion.
What’s the best way to slow it down in FCP?
I’m guessing that just changing the speed % in the motion tab on the clip is not the correct thing to do?I read a forum somewhere where someone suggested using Cinema Tools. There were no instructions on how to do that, and I’ve never used Cinema Tools, so if that is the correct method, could someone help me with how to do it please?
Also, I’m not sure I’m going to do this, but I’d like the option: I might want to slow down the clip, and then bring it back to real-time, possibly using keyframes or something. Is this possible? What is the best way to achieve that, while maintaining the best possible quality?
Thank you for your continued help. This forum is always the best place to find answers to these sort of problems.
