  Illustrater files don’t receive shaddows

  Hi,
  I wonder if it’s just a bug or a common phenomenon: I tryed to cast shadows with several type layers onto a precomp – imported from a ordinary Illustrater-file as composition. Checked all relevant properties for casting shadows on all layers and on the light aswell. The AI-Comp doesn’t receive any shodows at all. But if that very same file is saved in a PDF-Format and imported as comp it works pretty well with shadows – all fine! Even with a different blending mode.

  Is this normal or did i miss something on AI-files?
