I want to output a quicktime file with open captions displayed at the lower portion of the screen.. My movie already contains captioning information I just want to output a QT with the text embedded. Is there a way to do this in FCP studio or some other software?

I know that some QuickTime formats should accept Closed captioning information in FCP7/Compressor 3.5

I just haven’t ever tried it….but I’m sure you need to use the ‘send to’ (vs. export)

But QuickTime 7.1.6 and later has the ability to display CC information…try it through compressor as a QuickTime h.264 file…

    Best,
