  • Quicktime/Mov is corrupted?

Posted by David Williams on March 12, 2011 at 12:48 am

Hello I saved a FCP project as a Quicktime / mov using current settings in FCP. I transferred the mov file to a PC and uploaded it to youtube.

On both the PC and youtube the file loses picture in the middle of the movie and only plays audio. On my I mac the mov file plays fine with both audio and video.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Well, if it loses picture in the middle on the PC…and that’s what you used to upload it…then it’ll have a problem on youtube.

Could be that the QuickTime file is damaged…and the transport mechanism (USB thumb drive?) is the culprit. Upload it from the mac…and then you’ll know.

    Best,

Thanks Jeff. I uploaded the file from my Mac straight to you tube and once it is finished processing. I will take a look. I hope this works 🙂
