Whats the easiest/quickest way to have an entire frame of video appear to explode into dust/stars/sparkly tinselly stuff?

Is ther a simple plug in that can do this, or is it all a big job with particle generators etc?

    Shatter.
It’s in the manual and in the effects pdf.
It’s easy unless you think you want to try to control it.

You might also check out Simulate>CC Ball Action (CC Filter a separate install off the disk), animate the scatter fro 0 to say 150 over a few frames, grid at 1 ball size 75, tweak to taste.

Then chase that with Scatter or CC Scatterize.

Very quick. But Shatter is the closed to an explosion.
