    Hi all,
i have a lot of files.mov, done with 5dmk2 and to work with them i did a single ProRes file..

now i’ve finished the project and i need to backup it with media manager but i’d like to save only clips i’ve worked with, instead of all 30Gb of file.mov in ProRes.. is it possible please? any idea suggestion?

    tnx in advance.

    Giuliano.

First, go to the Browser window in FCP make sure each clip has a name or number associated with it in the “Reel” column. Now when you use the Media Manager check the “delete unused media” option and only the sections of media that are in the timeline will get backed-up.

What I said will do just that (only copy the sections of the clip used in the timeline). You just have to make sure the clip has a Reel number assigned to it in the Browser and that “delete unused media” is checked in the Media Manager window.
