  • Fast DVD’s for proofing?

Posted by Larry Watts on January 31, 2011 at 9:13 pm

What is the fastest workflow to produce a DVD for an internal proofing by the “boss”?

Is it the “share” method, or “send to compressor”, or create a reference QTM and use it with in DVD Studio pro?

It seems we are in a constant time battle to churn these out faster and loose valuable time if it takes too long.

    Thanks

A capture card and a DVD Recorder. Real time encoding to a DVD.

You want a DVD? And not shane’s hardware dvd recorder method? In DVDSP?

    Ok.

Set the preferences for DVDSP for background encoding, CBR around 5mbs. The moment you add the video, it’ll start encoding in the background. Continue authoring your DVD.

Or in share – build your own share setting for a CBR encode. One pass, much faster than RT.
