assistance with chroma key: png images…
Hi there, I hope that this isn’t a repost and someone can assist! Before I start i might be useful to briefly describe the image I’m trying to achieve: i’ve got a fixed shot of half beech and half sea, for about 15min. Over the duration of the film the tide comes in and fills the entire shot. What I’m trying to do is to have some text in the bottom half (beech half) of the shot that dissolves or gets washed away as the tide comes in over it (i’m not expecting miracles here and a very rough dissolve is fine…).
My initial thought was to import the text as a png without a background, then key chroma it with the colour of the sea so that it dissolves on contact. It starts off well initially, with the png having a transparent background but when I try and key chroma it, it creates its own background…
Can anyone assist?! Am I completely on the wrong track and there’s another way? Any assistance would be gratefully received.
Cheers, Ross
