  FCP Frame Size

  I am trying to create a looping video for a home page that is 570×162. Custom settings lets me create a sequence that size, but when I try to insert a clip it kicks out of that frame size. Is there a way to do this?

  Work in whatever size your clip is. When you’re finished editing, use compressor or other tool to export the final project to the desired size by scaling/cropping.
