  NO accessories NEEDED, but you can get the LHi Breakout Box if you want.

  BEST? Just for monitoring? Or capturing too? And what are your needs? Do you need more than 8 channels of embedded SDI audio? If not, then it’s a good option. Need to work with 2K? If so, then look at the Kona LHi.

  There are other good options out there, that are cheaper. Matrox MXO2 LE, Decklink Extreme 3D. But what you get with AJA is world class tech support. They will resolve your issues, if any should arise, within that day, or if not, the next. Shipping replacement parts if they are needed VERY fast. Piece of mind is what you get with them. And you pay for it. But for many, it is worth it.
