  Log and Transfer Hangs Up

  When trying to log and transfer P2 footage from disk into FCP the L&T hangs up. No error message. The “add clip to queue” button stays shaded and the SBBOD appears. Only way out is to force quit. This is happening to the new P2 footage I’m trying to get to today and to P2 files I have previously imported. Also today, when I try to launch Safari, after the home page completely loads, Safari crashes and I get the “. . .quit unexpectedly.” report. The exception type is: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Are these related? I need FCP more than Safari right now.
  I have zapped the PRAM, trashed prefs, and run repair permissions.
  I’m on a MacPro, OS X 10.6.5, 2 X 2.66 Dual Core Intel Xenon, FCP 7.0.3

  Safari issue has been fixed. Still having trouble with Log and Transfer.
