dust in the lights
Posted by Daniel Linge on September 30, 2007 at 5:40 pmhey i was wondering if its possible to have a light shine on something in ae and have little dust particles floting around and the light is reflected off them?

what im doing is i have a light at the top of my 3d comp shining down. a pic of a fan rotating casting shadows on to the ground. and i need to have little dust particles floating as i truck though the beams of light. and is there a way to also make the light that isnt caught by the fan pic to have a foggy beam of light coming down?

October 1, 2007 at 12:41 amLux is the slick way to go, but I like this freebie script that gives you a lux-like light with a foggy atmosphere (generated by fractal noise). You can quickly sub in fractal noise dust (#1), or use Foam to make custom dust(#2).
