  A DVD with both, surround & stereo

  Is it possible to create from Final Cut Pro 7 via SoundTrackPro a DVD which will play in surround sound when the gear is available, or play in normal stereo?

  All DVD players will do a fold down to stereo from 5.1 . This is not always a good thing as they are a formulaic fold which isn’t always what you want.

  I make my own fold downs to stereo from my 5.1 mixes. In DVD Studio Pro it is possible to have multiple audio tracks (up to six I think). The person playing can then select the appropriate track via the remote or you can offer a choice in the main menu.
