I have some clients looking for flash for their websites. Of course FCS doesn’t output Flash and so far the free converters i have tried are crap. I know Sorenson Squeeze will be the best option if I had the money but I don’t. So what else is out there for GOOD flash conversion?

Encode to h.264, then change the extension from .mov to .flv. That’s all ya got to do. Flash player has supported h.264 for about two years now…

That makes an .flv – someone still needs to put it in an swf wrapper to put it in a web page.

If you need an SWF front end, I use JW Player. Some of the kids these days like FlowPlayer, it being free for commercial use and all (but branded with their logo).

Thanks you all! As long as they like the video and they can use it in the format they ask for then all is good. Although some sites programs must wrap it for you because I’ve dropped flv in for them and it comes up, never occured to me that it must be wrapped in swf.

New problem; original file plays fine as soon as I change it to flv the video is fine but the audio isn’t there…weird.
