    Hello,

We’re creating a stop motion animation. The shots have been captured at 24fps and 12fps. We’ve taken the stills in After Effects, reinterpreted the footage so all at 24fps and output to ProRes.

When we take the proRes into FCP we have to apply a speed change of 50% to files shot at 12fps. The FCP project is set to:

    Sequence preset: AppleProRes 422 1920×1080 24p 48 kHz

I’m probably being a bit dumb here but why do we need to change the speed if we are exporting at 24fps from AE?

Once the speed is changed FCP doubles up every shot (great!) EXCEPT the first frame so it goes 000000, 000001, 000001, 000002, 000002 etc etc

Why is the first frame being dropped?

Any sheds of light would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
    Anna
