mixing HVX200 and Sony Z7 HDV in FCP
A post earlier today about mixing HVX footage with EX-1 reminded me of a small upcoming concert shoot I’ve been asked to help shoot. One camera will be the Panasonic HVX 200 shooting 1080 24p, and the other a Sony Z7 shooting HDV 1080 24p. Not ideal, I know, but that’s what we’ve got. My question for editing in FCP: any major problems (besides the matching headaches)? Best to convert one of the cameras to the other’s format, or convert (via Compressor I assume) both to Pro Res? Thanks for any help.
