  Export to tape creates flash frames

  Good Day All,

  Let me get system specs out of the way first.

  FCP 7 (Lastest update)
  2.66 quadcore intel mac pro
  dvcpro50 deck (AJ-SD93P)

  I am exporting to tape a SD sequence via firewire to a DVCPRO 50 tape. I complete my edit to tape and check my tape for errors and i get a flash frame between edits on the tape. Specifically, when the edit goes to the next cut I get a frame from previous cut show up as a flash frame. I have checked it on the deck, frame by frame and strangely I cannot isolate the particular frame I can see the flash frame but my deck will skip over it entirely.
  I have verified that there is no flash frames in my timeline prior to the dump and I have made sure that the setting for firewire are correct.
  Any assistance would be great or solution to my issue.

  I’d trouble shoot this by exporting a self contained QT movie of your sequence (then check it to make sure there’s not errant frames in it by looking at it on an external monitor), then black the tape before the edit to tape… Perform an assemble edit.
