  • Exporting a 16:9 sequence to 4:3?

    Hello –
I’ve got a 16:9 (1440×1080) project that I need to deliver to a client in 4:3 (720×486). I’ve tried so many different options & searched other forums that I’m more confused than when I started. It seems as every time I export the subjects are squeezed skinny. I’m not set at anamorphic anywhere, so I’m completely lost as the where to go. Can anyone give me the proper work flow for doing this? I’ve even started a new sequence in 4:3 & dragged the edited clip in to the time line & the video is fuzzy, unlike the clean looking 16:9 sequence. I come to Creative Cow when I’m at my wits end……here I am! Thanks.

Thanks Dave. I’ve already tried that option & the video becomes fuzzy after I render it after dropping it in to the 720×486 timeline, even before I pull (stretch) the video to fit out to the whole screen. I can’t seem to get a clean video, or if I get one it’s squeezed skinny. Thanks so much for your time.
