I have been working with 7d (Prores Transcoded Footage using MPEG Streamclip) for the past couple months, with no problems. Now, suddenly, all the 7d footage in the sequence (That hasn’t already been rendered) has a yellow render bar over it, which I have never seen before, and as soon as I put any filter on it, scrubbing over the footage slows to a crawl. This is happening to newly transcoded footage, as well as old footage. I have not changed any settings in Final Cut.

The sequence is set to HDV 24p, since most of the footage is coming from an XH-A1. Up until now, the 7d Prores 1080/24 footage has worked fine with the sequence)

    Specs:
    Mac Pro 8-Core
6GB Ram, 2TB Drive just for the footage
    Final Cut 7.0.2

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brandon Katcher

Thank you for the reply. Found out my problem actually. Under View-Background, I had set to “Checkerboard”. Set back to “Black”, and everything is fine now. Weird. I haven’t actually had any issues regarding sticking HDV and Prores together. I render everything to prores, and the framerates are both 24p.
