  • Export is choppy for CC clips

I have some video (Pro Res 422 HQ) that I’ve color corrected and have rendered everything I believe. There is a blue line above the clips that I have color corrected but I believe that just indicates the video image has been altered because it won’t render anymore.

When I export (QT Conversion H.264, best, 720) the video I color corrected is choppy but the clips that I did nothing to playback fine. I tried exporting in pro ress too but that didn’t make a difference. Its going to be for internet and also dvd. Anyone know whats going on? Also I don’t have compressor.

    Select the clip and Alt-R.
Export a Prores master and bring that to Compressor for the DVD and web video.

Just install Compressor from your install disks, and follow Rafael’s suggestion.

I dont have compressor and everything is rendered.

Whats a Pro Res Master? I tried exporting it as Pro Res instead of H.264 but that didnt make a difference. Does it matter if its .mov or something else?

I never have problems exporting so I have no clue whats going on. And as I mentioned the video that is not color corrected plays perfect in the export so I know that its not my computer or anything. All the other video is just choppy and doesn’t look that clean.

make sure before that EVERYTHING IS RENDERED: Select all, Optio-R.
I think these CC shots are not rendered.

Yea they are. The timeline has the blue-gray line above everything that I’ve put a color correction filter on

Press CMD+0 to open Sequence Settings.

    1. Under the tab, ‘General’ what does it say below QuickTime Video Settings?

    2. Under the tab labeled ‘Render Control’ are the first two drop-down lists set to 100%? They should be, but what you’re describing sounds as though one of them may be set to 50%.

Alex I will name my first child after you.

That was exactly it. Must of changed it thinking it was only effecting timeline playback. Thank you thank you thank you.
