    Hello all,

I work at a college and we have 6 fresh out of the box Panasonic AG-HMC150P cameras, each has an 8Gig SD card. Our post area is using Final Cut Studio 3. The question that I have is what is the recommended camera record format and FCP ingest codec to go with it? I wish that we had more time to play around but the students come back tomorrow!

Any help on this that I can get will be a big help! thanks

You don’t have much choice as the AG-HMC150P records in AVCHD. The best editing codec for FCP is Pro Res, you shouldn’t need to worry about ProRes HQ as AVCHD maxes out at 24Mbps.

Checkout ClipWrap. They have a trial version.
