Final Cut Pro 7
Hi,
I have some problems , i have a mac pro with leopard slow , final cut pro 7, and the latest QT version installed and a blackmagic decklink extreme 3d like video card , when i want to capture material with sorenson video 3 or h.264 compressor , the video result white . exist a problem of compatibility with leopard , final cut or QT with this kind of version i describe? How can i do to capture with H.264 or sorenson video 3 compressor normaly?

Uh…can you capture direct to H.264 or Sorenson with a capture card? I have not heard of anyone doing that. You need to capture using one of the presets for the capture card. Those are not in any of the presets I have seen, and I have experience with Decklink, AJA and Matrox hardware.
You don’t capture to those formats. You capture to EDITING formats then ENCODE to those. Those are not editing formats….they are delivery formats.

You can through QT Pro, very limited but you can capture a H.264 stream live.

when you say the latest QT, do you mean QT X or 7? You want to install QT 7 from the snow leopard install disc.

The presets of the Blackmagic in Final Cut modified it to use the codec sorenson video 3 compressor or h264 as , But the result I have is the blank image . The problem I have is that Final Cut 6 I can capture in real time with the codecs mentioned but not in Final Cut 7 . This image is of the setting I have in Final Cut 6 , In which leaves me to capture in real time , But Final Cut 7 will not let me.

i also have Final cut 6 installed in another Mac , and i configure the presets that brings the final cut , for i can capture with Sorenson video 3 or h264 in real time . But when i conigure the preset in final cut 7 like i had in final cut 6 , i don´t have the same result . here is an image of the configure i did . tell me what you thinkAlejandro Héctor Andresson
