  • Timeline shows wrong section of clip, then exports correct section

Ok, so here’s what is happening, I’ve never dealt with this problem before:

I put in and out points in my footage then dragged the selected clip to my timeline. Then I played the clip in my timeline and it isn’t starting nor finishing at my in and out points. Instead, the clip in the timeline starts about 10-15 frames before my in point and ends about 15 or so frames before my out point. I was frustrated with this because it happens with every clip I bring to the timeline. I shrugged and just went on adjusting the clips in my timeline to how I wanted them. After I was done, I exported a quicktime, and somehow the clips have, well, corrected themselves, except now every clip is starting 10-15 frames late and ending late (since i had to correct them in my timeline so I knew how my clips were going together).

Other info: I’m using FCP 6.0.6 I log and captured from a mini dv tape. Footage filmed on a pd150. I had no problems when importing, haven’t had to render anything, haven’t added any effects or anything.

    Any ideas?
