  multicam edit sync points question

  Hola!
  When I attempt to find a sync point to do a 3-camera multicam edit, can I use any common point from the 3 timelines to match things up?
  If I found a common sync point farther down the timelime (say, 20 to 30 seconds in) would this still be usable?

  Most of the tutes I’ve read/watched have used the standard timecode match-up(don’t have that)or a clapboard (didn’t have that when I shot the footage; was still new to editing at that point) and these techniques are usually based on things found nearer the beginning of the footage.

  Thanks for any help you folks can provide.

  what happened when you just tried it?

  it makes no difference where the In or out point is the video, you just need to find the common frame. If on angle A it is 5 minutes in, and on angle b it is 3 minutes in. When you play it back the will be 2 minutes of black on angle A
