    The Intensity isn’t a USB capture device. It connects via PCIe on towers only. The Intensity Shuttle is Windows only, so it won’t work anyway. USB 3 support not on Macs either.

    Your FireWire options are the AJA IOHD or Motu V4HD.

    thanks for your prompt reply!

    These are all good options but I would like something in the pricerange of $250/€200 just to get the VHS stuff I have at home to a digital format. OSX or Win doesnt really matter as long as I can capture the footage in decent quality.

    Ohhhh…non-HD. Now were talking. Canopus ADVC 110. That’ll convert VHS to DV for capture. And is in that range.

    My original post did mention that but I deleted the info. That’s what happens when we are guessing what the poster’s intensions are.

    A cheap Mini DV camera can also be used.
