working with a MacBook Pro OSX 10.5.8 and FCP 6.0.6

Is there a program/plugin for FCP I can purchase that will aid me in the subtitle process and translate?

In the past we have paid someone to translate into french, spanish, etc and then did the ole way which seems to take forever…using the text tools

Looked at spherico and some others…but any advice would be great –

    Hi,

good translation = professional human translator whose mother language is the one you translate to. Possibly with a good grasp of subject (some translators specialize in tech stuff or cultural and so on…)

subtitle tool: look at Annotation edit, a great piece of software. We use it a lot and are happy with it. You can give Annotation transcriber to your translator who will use it to produce text files with tc markers that you import into Ae for further formating. You can instantly preview your subs over picture in Ae’s player and then export an xml file that you import into FCP. lay this over your edit, render and you’re done

    Hope this helps,

    Patrice
